The University of St. Francis Department of Music and Performing Arts is proud to offer exciting music and theater performances to the Joliet and Will County communities. All performances have open seating. Music Department Collage Concert

Enjoy the many talents of USF’s Department of Music in an exciting concert of non-stop music including performances by USF ensembles, students, and faculty. Experience music performed in ‘surround sound’ in a celebration of music and music-making and try your luck in a silent auction to help the Department of Music grow.

Son Monarcas

Latin Folk fusion ensemble, Son Monarcas, will use traditional music and dance to take us on an entertaining and informative journey through Mexican culture. Experts in the Afro-Mestizo folk music genres of Latin American, they will bring its rhythms and melodies to life while performing on a variety of traditional Mexican instruments.

Travel to England as this Sherlock Holmes classic comes to life on the USF stage. Holmes and his companion, Dr. Watson, investigate the case of an attempted murder inspired by the legend of a fearsome, diabolical, supernatural hound. For $25, bundle your ticket with a classic English meal (fish ‘n’ chips) served one hour before the performance. Standard admission tickets also available.

The USF Swinging Saints Sing About People

The Swinging Saints, USF’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble, will present an exciting program about the people they would like to meet and others they would like to introduce to you! Meet the Girl from Ipanema, Mr. Sandman, and many other icons, immortalized in a jazzy cameo.

Christmas at the Motherhouse: A World of Carols

Join vocal soloists and the USF’s choral ensembles as they sing extraordinary carols, such as Benjamin Britten’s classic, “A Ceremony of Carols”, Alfred Burt’s “Caroling, Caroling”, “Carol of the Bells”, and lesser known gems from the Advent and Christmas seasons.

Joliet Symphony Orchestra: Christmas Classics – Take Flight!

Soar through the sky as the Joliet Symphony Orchestra performs a concert of music that truly takes flight, including selections from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake and three wonderful and varied compositions by living American composers. Rounding out the concert will be a selection of favorite holiday carols featuring the sounds of angels.
