Nov. 9, 2017 | Joliet, Ill.

NurseJournal.org named the University of St. Francis (USF) Leach College of Nursing (LCON) second in the state for the best online nursing programs on its “Best Nursing Schools in the Central Region” list.

Being ranked #2 is an honor in the highly competitive Chicagoland region, but the online publication also listed the University of St. Francis near the top nationally. NurseJournal placed USF in the top 50 of the 754 institutions evaluated nationwide for outstanding nursing programs.

The site took the quality, affordability, convenience, satisfaction and value of each program into account when creating the list. Factors such as NCLEX pass rates, accreditation, percentage of students offered financial aid and retention rates were all considered.

“Students who enroll at USF seeking a degree in the field of nursing will have access to state of the art facilities and world-class faculty members,” explained LCON Dean, Carol Wilson, Ph.D.

The Leach College of Nursing offers a variety of nursing programs including a traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, R.N. to BSN degree completion, Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner and a host of other programs suited for the changing career field.
