Nov. 17 St. Francis Writers’ Conference Features Simone Meunch

On Saturday, Nov. 17, the University of St. Francis (USF) English Department will host its 27th Annual St. Francis Writers’ Conference from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Tower Hall, which is located on the main USF campus at 500 Wilcox Street in Joliet.

Poet and editor Simone Muench will be the event’s keynote speaker and will be presenting on the topic of collaboration and the creative process. Other sessions, which will feature students presenting work that is both single-authored and collaborative, whether they worked with a faculty, peer, or even a peer in another discipline, include: “Composing Lines, Lyrics and Beats,” “Short Fiction & Collaborations,” Identity Construction,” “Authorship, Artistry and Intention,” “Emerging Creative Writers,” “Critical Investigations,” “Creative Prose,” and “Info Session: USF Literary Magazine.”

The event will conclude with an awards reception at 4 p.m.
