USF to Host Social Work Exam Prep Workshop on May 1

The Department of Social Work at the University of St. Francis (USF) will host a Social Work Licensure Exam Prep Workshop on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. The event will take place in the Sue Manner Turk Theatre in USF’s Moser Performing Arts Center, 500 Wilcox Street, Joliet.

This intensive, 8-hour, preparatory review workshop for LSW/LCSW licensure will be taught by USF social work instructors Laura Honegger, Ph.D., LCSW and Joyce Kraus, MSW, LCSW. Relevant examination content will be covered, such as:

  • Social work practice theories and terminology
  • Therapeutic strategies
  • Practice techniques
  • Assessment and diagnosis
  • Professional ethics
  • Diversity sensitive practice
