March 16, 2018

The University of St. Francis (USF) is proud to announce that the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program was included on the 2019 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools list. The ranking places the MSN program at USF among the top third best rated in the country.

“We are very happy to receive another award recognizing the University of St. Francis as a high quality university,” commented Dr. Carol Wilson, dean of USF’s Leach College of Nursing. “Just like our high NCLEX pass rate, and our 100 percent job placement rate, it tells us we are on the right track.”

More than 550 master’s and doctoral nursing schools across the country were surveyed by U.S. News & World Report. Rankings were based on the quality of the program, percentage of faculty with doctoral degrees, graduates’ GPA, and several other factors that contribute to student success. The full list of programs can be found at usnews.com/grad.

The high ranking of USF’s Nursing Master’s program comes in a year of the institution receiving multiple awards.

“Rankings such as this one continue to establish the University of St. Francis as an exceptional, Franciscan university right here in Joliet,” says Vice President for Admissions and Enrollment, Eric Wignall. “This is a place where students receive individual attention from knowledgeable, award-winning faculty, which shows in certification and job placement rates.”
