USF Earns “Best College” in MONEY Magazine Ranking

July 24, 2017 | Joliet, Ill.

The University of St. Francis (USF) is ranked for the first time by MONEY magazine in its annual 2017 “Best Colleges for Your Money” list. USF proudly placed among the top 30 private master’s institutions in the nation and first in the state of Illinois.

The study utilizes research on education quality, financing and value to determine the 711 colleges and universities that made the list. Factors within these categories include instructor and peer quality, net price of a degree and graduate earnings. Placing 234 overall, the listing highlights USF’s generous financial aid benefits and strong graduation rate as major assets to the university. Ninety-nine percent of students receive some kind of financial aid, including the 86% who receive merit based grants.

“The University of St. Francis is pleased that its commitment to student success– whether in terms of retention and graduation rates or in terms of in-field job placement– continues to be recognized in national rankings such as these,” comments USF President Arvid Johnson, Ph.D. “Preparing students to contribute to the world through service and leadership is not only essential to our mission but also a critical part of our value proposition.”

The University of St. Francis made the list alongside some of its larger public peers, proving that USF is a quality option for higher education in the state. The full list can be found here.
