Receptions hosted for multicultural USF graduates

To honor their heritage and hard work, University of St. Francis hosted two special pre-graduation receptions for multicultural students who graduated on Dec. 14.

A reception for USF’s Hispanic/Latino graduates and their families included an address by Maria Bucio, Director of La Casa Student Housing. The following graduates received certificates to celebrate their academic achievements: Antonia Anderson (Racine, Wis.), Anne Bello (Miami, Fla.), Sylvia Castillo (Frankfort), Stephanie Castillo (Plainfield), Jose Cejas (Miami, Fla.), Arcelia Contreras (Joliet), Verenice Diaz (Joliet), Ruby Duran (Joliet), Ysenia Gallegos (Chicago), Zahira Garza (Joliet), English Gonzalez (Orland Hills), Elizabeth Inacay (Chicago), Hilda Lara (Scottsdale, Ariz.), Patrice Lastra (Miami, Fla.), Martha McNab (Romeoville), Elisabet Miramontes (Cicero), Ricardo Navarro (Joliet), Corey Rios (Chicago), Debbie Rios (Minooka), Breanna Rivera (Wilmington), Linda Rodriguez (San Carols, Calif.), Kirstin Rueck (New Lenox), Maria Schwartz (Miami, Fla.), Kaitlyn Studer (Minooka), Monica Sweeney (Des Plaines), Victor Trujillo (Chicago) and Orlando Valdes (Miami, Fla.).

African American students and their families also enjoyed a reception and an address by Herbert Brooks, Jr., Speaker, Will County Board.
