USF offers summer open house

Students interested in completing a bachelor’s degree or pursuing master’s or doctorate degrees are invited to a University of St. Francis (USF) summer open house designed specifically to answer adult and transfer student questions. The open house will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17 at the university’s Joliet campus.

Those attending the open house will be able to speak with faculty members, admissions counselors and financial aid counselors. Academic advisors and Prior Learning advisors will also be available to help students begin their academic plan, according to Chuck Beutel, vice president for Admissions, Marketing and Enrollment Services.

“USF is a transfer-friendly college,” said Beutel. “Our programs offer real-world application, small classes and online learning options that allow for accelerated completion. Depending on the program, students can earn their bachelor’s degrees in as little as 18 months. Attending the open house will give students insight into the quality USF experience.”

“USF is also a Yellow Ribbon participant and Military Friendly School and offers veterans’ scholarships and other assistance,” Beutel added. “All USF students can expect to receive personal support from start to finish.”

The open house will be in San Damiano Hall, second floor of Donovan Hall. RSVP at or call 800-735-7500.

The University of St. Francis, at 500 Wilcox St. in Joliet, serves 3,400 students nationwide, offering undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in arts and science, business, education, nursing, health care and social work. For information, call (800) 735-7500 or visit
