Learning Behavior Specialist I (Valid for grade range held)

Whether this is your first course through REAL or we are old friends, please check out the two buttons below prior to registering. They are filled with information you’ll want to know!

Now that you have the scoop, here are a few things to keep in mind regarding registration:

  1. Full payment of course tuition will be required during the registration process. Payment can be made via credit card (processing fee applies) or electronic check through our secure registration site.
  2. Drop requests must be submitted by 4 p.m. on the fifth business day (M-F) of the course to receive a refund of tuition paid/owed for the course. Accelerated format courses (running for less than eight weeks) must be dropped on or before the first day of class.
  3. Registration works best from a PC or laptop. While tablets and phones work for some individuals, varied settings can cause issues for others.
  4. Confirmation and subsequent communications occasionally get tangled in firewalls and placed in SPAM or junk folders. Be sure to take a look if you find you have not received confirmation of enrollment within three (3) business days of submitting your course registration.
  5. Candidates taking courses as part of a district or area partnership should visit District Partner Courses for information and registration. Registering from this page instead of your designated partner page will place you in a standard course section – forfeiting any applicable tuition benefit associated with the partnership.

Almost there . . . things you should know about LBSI courses offered through REAL:

  • EEND 605 may be required if not previously completed during undergraduate or other graduate degree programs. Candidates may visit their local ROE or request assistance from the college/university where they believe the course was completed to determine if the course is still needed. USF is not able to determine if courses taken outside of the university meet ISBE requirements.
  • It is highly recommended that candidates complete the courses sequentially beginning with EEND 640.
  • Courses offered at USF do not meet requirements for the Early Childhood Special Education approval.
