This workshop focuses on the emerging generation of students – Generation Z – and their unique learning and social needs. Come join us as we examine the strengths and challenges of this amazing young generation – and discover the academic and social strategies that have the most promise in helping Gen Z learn and grow.
 
SEL – for Students and Teachers

SEL – the Social and Emotional Needs of our Students – may be the most essential focus of our current and future teaching. This workshop will dig deeply into the Social, Emotional, and Motivational Needs of this current generation. Come ready to learn, share, and examine how we can best meet the real human needs of this amazing, promising generation of learners.
 
Trauma-Informed Classrooms

This workshop will begin with a basic understanding of the effect of chronic trauma on the developing brain. Educators will be provided with concrete strategies to help students (and themselves) regulate their emotions and mitigate the effects of chronic stress. This knowledge, and these tools, can have a positive impact on social emotional and academic development.
 
Restorative Practices

This workshop will provide the framework and explicit rationale for educators to implement restorative practices in their classrooms and schools. Participants will be trained to create a restorative culture for students that will positively impact relationships and student learning.
