Commuter Assistants

Club Description

The Commuter Assistant program aims to provide a bridge between commuter and off-campus students and the programming and services that the University of St. Francis offers. The eight Commuter Assistants selected represent a group of student leaders who seek to serve as advocates for commuter/off-campus student wants and needs and put them into action. Commuter Assistants seek to promote community within the commuter population, increase commuter participation in student development programs, and increase retention among commuter students.

Commuter students are some of our busiest, most involved students at USF and they are also our largest student population. Recognizing this, Commuter Assistants seek to understand the needs and wants of commuter students and put them into action to the best of their ability. Some consistent events commuter students can look forward to are food and item giveaways, partnership events with campus resources, parking space raffles, and Commuter Appreciation Week – specifically for YOU!
