Online MBA Program Repeats as Illinois’ Top Program of Its Type

Joliet, Ill. – U.S. News & World Report recently released its 2022 Best Online Programs rankings, and the University of St. Francis (USF) is proud to announce that its online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program has been ranked as the top program of its type in Illinois for the second consecutive year. The publication also recognized four other online programs offered by USF, including two named as the best private programs in Illinois.

Recognized USF programs included:

  • Online MBA Program – #1 ranked program in Illinois for the second consecutive year (top 37 percent nationally);
  • Online Graduate Education Program – #1 ranked private program in Illinois (top 14 percent nationally);
  • Online Graduate Business Program (excluding MBA) – #1 ranked private program in Illinois (top 40 percent nationally);
  • Online Bachelor’s Program – #4 ranked private program in Illinois (top 20 percent nationally), and;
  • Online Nursing Program – #3 ranked private program in Illinois (top 38 percent nationally).

As online education programs gain in popularity and demand, USF continues to successfully leverage its over 20-year history of offering quality options that meet the changing needs of students interested in earning undergraduate and graduate degrees.

USF’s comprehensive programs and dedicated faculty continue to position the University strongly in comparison to its peers. Another important factor in this positioning according to Eric Wignall, USF vice president of admissions, is the University’s student-first focus.

“Students need to learn about our world and be prepared to join a profession, start a business, care for a patient, teach in a classroom, or explain ideas in a boardroom. These rankings are a wonderful validation that our programs and our instruction meet the needs of our students and expectations of their employers,” said Wignall.

“At the core, USF focuses on students. Yes, we concentrate our efforts on their safety and pay close attention to making our campus a great place to live, but we start and end with student learning. Our mission is to prepare women and men to contribute to the world through service and leadership,” said Wignall.

About U.S News & World Report’s Ranking Methodology

U.S. News has been publishing school rankings in the education sector since 1983 and has done so specifically for online degree programs since 2013. At both the undergraduate and graduate levels, U.S. News calculates rankings based on a variety of factors, which hold different weights depending on the ranking category. A program’s score for each factor, or ranking indicator, is calculated using data that online programs report to U.S. News in an annual survey. The rankings methodologies for online programs are separate from those for U.S. News’ Best Colleges and Best Graduate Schools rankings. Ranking methodologies are typically updated on an annual basis.
