The University of St. Francis Certificate in Logistics provides many opportunities in education, networking, researching, and communications.
The overall goal for the Certificate in Logistics is to develop the next generation of supply chain management professionals.
Our students will achieve this goal by:
- Contributing to an organizations ability to compete in the global marketplace
- Being members of a workforce capable of executing supply chain management excellence
The Certificate in Logistics program is designed for the working supply chain/logistics professional as well as for those seeking to expand their knowledge of the supply chain/logistics industry. Students entering the program should have two to four years of professional business experience and an appropriate undergraduate degree. The certificate can be earned entirely through the USF online delivery system, allowing for "anytime/anywhere" learning which helps create a better quality of work-life balance.
The Certificate in Logistics consists of 16 credit hours (4 courses) that can be applied towards a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree at USF. Also, current students in the USF MBA or MSM graduate degree program can also take individual courses as electives for personal learning and development. This provides flexibility to the student wishing to grow without the commitment to earning a certificate.
Graduates of the certificate may hold corporate positions such as Director of Logistics, Logistics Manager, Transportation Manager, Import/Export Specialist, Procurement Manager, Operations Manager, Distribution Center Manager, Warehouse Manager, or Supply Chain Manager. Companies to work for include Alliance Shippers Inc., FedEx, UPS, Kuehne & Nagel, Exel, DSC Logistics & Supply Chain Management, as well as a variety of manufacturers or distributors.
