The University of St. Francis Department of Physician Assistant Studies is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and offers a graduate level Master of Science program that focuses on preparing students for practice as Physician Assistants.
The program provides students with the highest quality diagnostic and therapeutic health care education that will allow our students to provide health care in a variety of patient populations with a special emphasis on the underserved. Click here for our fair practices.
New Mexico is the land of enchantment and Albuquerque is a city that embodies a rich diversity of cultures and is full of exciting attractions amidst a somewhat magical landscape.
The Physician Assistant program located at Albuquerque Center is a full time 27 month program. The program consists of 15 months of didactic classroom basic medical sciences, behavioral and social sciences, clinical preparatory sciences and professional practice issues. This is followed by 12 continuous months of supervised clinical learning experiences. Students must complete the entire 27 month program at the University of St. Francis. Upon successful completion of the entire program of study, the student will be awarded a Master of Science degree.
The University of St. Francis is regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The Physician Assistant program is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA).
