Campus Media

The University of St. Francis prides itself not only on great academic achievements but also great opportunities for its students to get involved. USF’s writers, music lovers and broadcast journalists help produce The Encounter, WCSF 88.7 FM and the USF TV Club.

Student staff members produce a printed student news magazine called USF Encounter, which is published each month and distributed throughout USF’s three campuses in Joliet. “USF Encounter Online” is a frequently updated website produced by the staff and other USF students.

You know WCSF 88.7 FM as the home of the “Spirit of Christmas” radio program where your favorite Christmas songs are played all day, every day, from Thanksgiving until New Year’s Day. The rest of the year, WCSF 88.7 FM plays a great mix of new, alternative, independent and local music, programmed and run by University of St. Francis students. USF TV Club

The USF TV Club provides an atmosphere for students wishing to get involved in club activities, enhance their television production skills, and gain personal satisfaction. The club provides quality programming and service to USF and the greater Joliet community by producing the Exploring Joliet cable TV show. The show is focused on Joliet—the city, its people, plans and activities– and airs on Comcast Cable Channel 6 and ATT channel 99 weekly at 7 a.m., 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.
