Giving Tuesday is a day for Saints around the globe to come together to celebrate USF students and encourage giving to the university!

Giving Tuesday FAQs

What is #GivingTuesdayUSF?  USF’s Giving Tuesday is a 24-hour fundraising drive on December 1, 2020. It’s a day for alumni, parents, friends, and students to give back and support the university.

When is it? #GivingTuesdayUSF kicks off at midnight on December 1, 2020 and closes at 11:59 p.m. the same day. The annual day of giving happens on the first Tuesday after the Thanksgiving holiday, following Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

How can my gift be counted toward Giving Tuesday?  You can make a gift now to ensure that your gift counts for Giving Tuesday or return to this page on December 1, 2020, to make your gift.

Can anyone participate in #GivingTuesdayUSF? Yes, of course! Support from everyone in the USF community (alumni, parents, friends, students) counts on this day. In fact, we would love for you to make your gift and share on social media, using the hashtags #EveryGiftMatters and #GivingTuesdayUSF. This allows others to hear about this special day and make their own gift. The more you share, the more successful #GivingTuesdayUSF will be!

What areas can I support? Ongoing support is essential to providing the transformative learning experiences and scholarships found at USF, so be a part of the effort and make a gift to the Francis Fund on Giving Tuesday. Thank you for understanding that the world needs more students educated the Franciscan way—and they need you.

Is my payment secure?  Yes. All payments will be processed using a secure online giving form. The information collected during Giving Tuesday will be used only by USF!

Who should I contact with questions about my gift? Please contact Lisa Sampalis at 815-740-5065 or with any questions about annual giving and #GivingTuesdayUSF.
