Pre-Arrival Checklist

Use the following checklist to make sure you are ready to depart for University of St. Francis! Print the checklist to track your progress. You should have all of the items on the checklist completed prior to arriving on campus for International Orientation.

International Orientation is held the week before classes begin. There is no Orientation event for summer admits.

Please take the above form to your Healthcare Provider and have them document the dates of three TD/TDaP’s, two MMR’s (measles, mumps and rubella) and one meningitis vaccine after the age of 16, prior to arriving at the University of St. Francis.

VISA - We need to ensure you have received your VISA before arriving to the United States. Please send us a copy of your VISA.

Photo - We would like to get your School ID ready by the time you get to University of St. Francis. Please send us a photo of yourself that we can put on your School ID.

International Student Housing Preferences

If you seleced "yes," that you have special needs that require special housing, you must contact the Office of Disability Services (ODS) at 815-740-3204 or email USF's Disability Coordinator, Sarah Alag, at salag@stfrancis.edu for a special housing accommodations request form. The deadline for submitting that form for FALL SEMESTER is 90 days prior to move-in for returning students, and 60 days prior to move-in for new students. For SPRING SEMESTER, the deadline for submitting the form is 60 days prior to move-in. If these deadlines have passed and the spaces are filled, students approved for housing accommodations through ODS will be placed on a wait list in the order that their application was received.

Residence Hall/Room Preferences

All students are able to select their preferred room style, as long as availability exists. Students who already live on campus are given first selection. All rooms are then offered to students in the order that USF receives the completed housing application and deposit. Please note that VERY FEW single rooms are available. If a single room is requested and unavailable, we will place you on a waiting list and email you. due to limited housing availability of some room types, first choices can not be guaranteed.

Marian Hall

Marian Hall houses 242 students, the majority in their first and second years. Double and triple rooms, community bathrooms in each wing, an international wing for students getting to know international students. A pillow, set of bed linens and towels are included.

Motherhouse

The Motherhouse houses 60 students, the majority are in their third and fourth years. Apartment suites for 4-6 students are available, with bathrooms in the common spaces. Single rooms share community bathrooms in each wing. A pillow, set of bed linens and towels are included.

Tower Hall

Tower Hall houses 103 students, the majority in their third and fourth years. Double rooms and some singles, community bathrooms on each floor, an international wing for students getting to know international students. A pillow, set of bed linens and towels are included.

Roommate Preferences

Housing Agreement

1) I understand that due to limited availability of some room types, USF cannot guaranteed that my first choice room preferences will be available. Students already living on campus are given first selection. All rooms are then offered to students in the order that USF receives the complated housing application and deposit. A staff member will notify me of my room type once it has been assigned. I understand that VERY FEW single rooms are available. If a single is requested and unavailable, I understand that USF will email me and place me on a waiting list.

2) I understand that I will be signing a one-year (August to May) housing contract with USF. If I cancel housing before the end of my contract, I understand I will receive a $750 fine.
