Drop Request – Special Students in the College of Education

This request form is for candidates enrolled in courses offered through REAL in the College of Education.

  • The drop process for courses in which you are currently enrolled must be completed online using our self-service option – drop requests via phone or email are not accepted.
  • Failure to drop a course by the applicable drop date may result in financial liability, a failing grade, and a university account hold preventing future registration or release of student records such as transcripts.
  • Drop requests must be submitted by 4 p.m. on the fifth business day (M-F) of the course to receive a refund of tuition paid/owed for the course. Accelerated format courses (running less than 8 weeks) must be dropped on or before the first day of class.
  • Courses offered via TIDE/DuPage Regional Office of Education) are subject to TIDE’s policy on dropping courses.

  • Drop requests must be submitted by 4 p.m. on the fifth business day (M-F) of the course to receive a refund of tuition paid/owed for the course. Accelerated format courses (running less than 8 weeks) must be dropped on or before the first day of class.
  • Once processed, a grade will not be given for the course.
  • If a drop request is submitted following the designated drop period, eligible candidates will be notified of the option to withdraw from the course as applicable.
  • Candidates will remain liable for tuition and fees in accordance with the Institutional Refund Policy.
