The College of Education is pleased to offer a graduate-level experiential learning course for candidates who have earned all three (3) certified educator badges for in the Current and Controversial Issue Discussions series available through Guardians of Democracy.

Facilitating Controversial Discussions in the Classroom
3 credit hours | 100% online | $100 per credit hour
Introduces strategies for classroom discussion of current and controversial issues. Candidates will learn how to utilize resources to create equitable opportunities for civic dialogue across the content areas. Through the activities, interactions, and reflections in this course, candidates will learn how to encourage student voice and responsibility for actions and reactions.

Evidence of Bronze, Silver, and Gold Certified Educator badges must be submitted (see below) and approved prior to enrolling in the course. Please complete the form below to express your interest and validate your Guardians of Democracy badges. Once your badges are confirmed, an email notification will be sent to the address provided with access to registration for the course.

This email will be used to confirm receipt of your submission as well as subsequent communication regarding the registration process.
This will not commit you to enrollment in any of the courses. It allows us to send you the registration information for the courses in which you are currently interested once evidence of completion for experiential requirements are confirmed.

All Integrating Agriscience and Agriscience Educator Institutes have been canceled for 2020 as of May 27.
