Why Study International Business at St. Francis?

Learn to compete in this world without walls. At the University of St. Francis, the opportunities to travel abroad for study are expansive and the practical application of classroom concepts provide students with hands-on experience.

The International Business program is designed to provide the student with an interdisciplinary degree combining courses in business, foreign language and area studies. Courses are designed to emphasize applied practice thereby enhancing a student’s marketability in a variety of career options with global corporations, banks, government and non-governmental organizations, and other international organizations.

  • The International Programs Office (IPO) was established in 2011 and is responsible for overseeing and administering the English Language for Academic Purposes (ELAP) program, study abroad programs, exchange partnerships, and international student services.

Study Abroad

Students who choose to earn an International Business degree are encouraged to learn around the world with long- and short-term study abroad. Students in the College of Business have traveled to Italy, Ireland, Panama, Costa Rica and many other countries!

Obtaining an internship during your undergraduate studies is becoming an essential component to your resume. At the University of St. Francis, faculty, administrators and our Career Success Center are committed to helping you find an internship (or two or three) as a component of your educational program.


BBA/MBA Five-Year Plan

In the final two semesters before graduation, senior business majors who intend to continue with an MBA at the University of St. Francis may take graduate-level MBA courses for undergraduate credit to meet undergraduate requirements. Students who take two MBA courses in their senior year are eligible to complete their MBA in one year (attending full-time). See course catalog for additional details.
